Un-occupied space… an empty area… holds within it… nothing… The beauty… magic… and vitality of such a space makes for us a canvas with unlimited opportunities… The unheard… unseen expression… silent tone(s) of these spaces… surfaces… hollow forms… structures… void of added color(s)… material(s)… things, etc… is all by itself one of the most artistic creations of existence… of life… How is this so… Such a space… void of everything… of all things… except its original self… was already made perfect as it is… It is a space complete with organic style and character… needing nothing added to it… nothing decorating it… to capture us… our full attention and interest…
Artistic creation(s) full of vibrant tone(s)… bold and/or soft color(s)… affirmative and imaginative thought… deeply inspire me… I am usually motivated by this kind of creative work to perform and bring forth something beautiful and inspirational of my own… Yet… when I witness emptiness… nothingness… I do not feel… or experience… emptiness… nothingness… I feel and experience a very subtle form of music that invokes… evokes… emotion(s) that greatly ignite(s) my soul… and make(s) my heart sing and my imagination dance… whether my imagination is still or in movement… When in motion… My imagination gives way to intuitiveness… improvisation… and spontaneity… When still… silence speaks its own in-audible language… a language I’ve learned to appreciate more in-depthly… for it too nourishes my creativity in ways… indescribable… I surrender to both stillness and movement… I let go… and let what wants to come from my heart… mind… emotions and imagination… live…
What comes… Art that makes me smile… makes me laugh… makes me wonder… makes me want to give more of myself… and art that makes me see… how truly glorious simplicity is… how amazingly magical is… a simple thought… idea… creation… Perhaps… this is why an empty plate… an empty bowl… pan… dish of any kind… including cups… glasses… and more recently… even eating utensils… like forks and spoons… have become for me blank canvases… inviting me to create… for them… with them… in them… on them… something appetizing to my senses… to our senses… Have you ever looked at one small morsel of food… a tiny seed… a single berry… like a blueberry or raspberry… a slice of fruit or other food(s)… a small spill or little overflow… by themselves… and thought of them as art… I have… Have they become for you the beginnings of a colorful and creative palette… or the palette… They have for me… The very palette(s) that have completely satisfied… my palate… and that have given life… including my own… something more to joyfully experience… I love delicious art… scrumptious creations… I love that an empty dish holds itself… unlimited potential(s)… I’m excited about what I will… on behalf of the Natural Food Art Cafe… think… imagine… create… next… BIG SMILE… 🙂
