The Experimental Experiment(s)…

Thank You Affirmation

When considering who and what I am…

I have listened to the voice within me…

I have listened to voices outside of me…

But the voice that knows is silent…

Who and what I am… I learn… by living…

living fully… gracefully… lovingly…

~ Dana Rondel

Fear of the unknown… I’ve been told I feared the unknown… that I was unwilling to step out of my comfort zone(s)… In the past, I believed others’ opinions of me… some of them… definitely not all of them… Because I am introspective, curious and inquisitive, I engaged myself about these perspectives… Are they actually true… Do I really… truly believe what’s being said about me… Looking back on my life, while also focusing on the present, and considering and imagining my future… I am not seeing these fears… an unwillingness to move beyond what is familiar… I see a person who has made choices based on her own (and sometimes others’) knowledge and wisdom…  A couple things I know… and have known for quite some time… I’ve always been a go getter and risk taker… Optimism and having healthy ideas and dreams about my life and future are what have been most prevalent within my own mindset… This doesn’t mean I haven’t been cautious… I have been… for very good reasons… Therefore, I’ve taken my time when I felt it necessary to… I decided to be patient… to be observant… to be fully present… to move with life naturally and allow things to evolve similarly… I love what these virtues have created for me… what more I’ve been able to learn about myself… and about others… while taking life slow…

Taking things slow… Does this mean to question every one and every thing… motives… intention(s)… or to constantly delay events in my life because I am not quite sure… It doesn’t mean that for me at all… It means be natural… Be myself… Keep my walk in life graceful and trust my own knowledge and wisdom… Know that the Most High and Universe are always for me… there’s no need to force time forward… Be experimental… try new things… too without an outcome in mind… What does this require… Spontaneity… Improvisation… A little fun sporadic behavior… A willingness to… let go and let life pleasantly surprise me… And it always does… BIG smile… Perhaps, taking things slow and being spontaneous doesn’t seem to fit together… They fit together perfectly… If I had always done what was planned, whether my own planning or someone else’s… I would’ve gone fully into experiences without knowing whether there was something greater for me… Moving slow… is simply… not doing everything that’s already planned… Spontaneity… is simply… do what isn’t planned… See what other good life brings to me… what other good is manifested… I love the joyous freedom I experience in living this way…

I’m smiling at the preceding words I’ve just written… Why… Because I’d no idea what I’d write when the title, The Experimental Experiments, came to me… I had no idea what I would write when I sat down at my computer to begin exploring this concept… Days and hours before, I thought to write about the enthusiasm I have when trying new and different recipes for the Natural Food Art Cafe… I also considered sharing my adventures in the dynamic of fashion for Unif(eyed) Colors Campaign… and how wonderful this experience has been when I give up being… conventional… Although, I don’t think I’ve ever been conventional, but I don’t mind this way too… I thought about other things as well… Yet, playing within the unknown… without fear… trusting my mind would bring forth the perfect message… that my mind would render ideas that would further evolve my understanding of me and my own life… is an experience I deeply enjoy…

I won’t say, I have never had a fear of the unknown… I probably have… Maybe it was only the times I believed those who told me I did… Truthfully, I don’t believe I have ever had a fear of the unknown… What I’ve always had, nonetheless, is the freedom of choice… The choice to take life and other things slow… The choice to be spontaneous… The choice to go with what has already been planned… The choice to make no plans at all and just adventure out into life and enjoy the experience(s)… The choice to say, yes… The choice to say, no…  The choice to be conventional or unconventional… The choice to explore… or do what is familiar… The choice to go in one direction… or the other… or try both ways… The choice that has most benefitted my life, however, is… the choice to be myself… to trust who and what I both know and believe I am … Life is not a mystery to me… It’s this glorious and vast existence that is magical… loving… kind and friendly… It is a magnificent world that invites me to play, unceasingly… To experiment with ideas… concepts… dreams and more… and know the outcome, whether known or not, will be pleasant and favorable… that what I learn will greatly benefit me… and that pain… suffering… strife… obstacles… challenges… and struggle, etc… will not be (and do not have to be) part of my journey to live the life of my greatest, highest and healthiest potential and good… while here on earth… My life is not an experimental experiment… or plainly, an experiment… My life… is a life… worthy of the most phenomenal and profound adventure(s)… So I’ll keep living well… and will keep looking forward to the planned outcomes… and to what is still unknown ( the splendid surprises)… BIG smile…

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
