As you and I dream

beautiful dreams in heaven…

so shall it be on earth…

For those of you who are presently in a relationship… or had one you experienced a beautifully deep connection in… do you remember… the very first time… you felt so aligned with the person you knew… there’s something more with us… Maybe that something more was… we are going to be life-long friends… or he/she is someone I can spend my life with—not just as a friend… Perhaps, this experience has happened with more than one person… Maybe it has transpired with only one person… It is possible that it has yet to happen… I’ve had this experience more than once, but it has mostly been with someone I knew I’d have as a friend for the rest of my life… and theirs… It makes me smile when I think about the amazing individuals in my life… Truly unique and special beings… People who have blessed my life enormously, simply because of the ways they exist in the world… because of how they positively contribute to their own lives and to others’… These are individuals who… whether we see each other often or not… are always present… in mind… in heart… and/or in spirit… They are consistently present, for I cannot easily forget them… The depth of our adoration and respect for one another is deeper than what can be measured…

Intimacy isn’t emotion(s) and feeling(s) just had within a love-relationship… Friends are able to share such tenderness too… which does not at all have to be sexual or overly sensual in nature… Such intimacy or tenderness could plainly be a soft kiss given… or a gentle touch or caress… It could be one placing his/her head lightly on another’s shoulder for rest or comforting… and more… To have platonic friends in our lives we can connect with in these and similar ways is a gift… I am fortunate to have experienced such thoughtfulness and receptivity… I am grateful I’ve been open and allowing in this way… This leads me into what I’ll write about next… Non-platonic friendships that remain healthy even after the choice is made to discontinue sex… and a sexual friendship that becomes a strong, solid and healthy long-term love-relationship… I am happy to say, I have both… My friendships that became sexual were those that helped me to learn more about trust… most importantly, to trust my own inner wisdom… emotions and feelings… I found, it’s okay to explore my emotions and feelings within a dynamic I feel safe in… These friendships also allowed me to be more honest with myself about the long-term, life-partnership and love-relationship that would work best for me…

A long-term friendship, life-partnership and love-relationship… It has taken multiple relationships and many years to finally let myself go enough to be in each… with one man I am sincerely and deeply happy with… I have no regrets about not being with a man who gave me each before now… A man I fully thought and felt is the perfect one for me… After being married previously, it was important I take my time—with me… and that I live a life of complete truthfulness… Meaning, I wouldn’t tell myself, the relationship is what I want, if it wasn’t everything I really did want… I could say, everything I need, too… but, I think want and need are the same… need is simply a want we have decided we couldn’t live with or without… The relationship I am now in… is one I sincerely and honestly want… To utter this silently or aloud without any reservations, swallows and other responses that subconsciously or consciously cause further questioning and investigation is where I had to be… I was never here before… for various reasons… Although, I will admit… not only do I have the most magnificent friends… the men I have had a love-relationship with are quite special too… all in their own phenomenal ways… Yet, we let our relationship go… to be in the one that genuinely aligns with a mindful… emotional… physical… soulful… and spiritual connection we, ourselves, wished/prayed for… It’s not unusual for The Most High and the Universe to urge us to keep moving forward until we are sure about our prayers and that they’ve been ful-filled… My present sweet heart is a wish/prayer I am sure about and one ful-filled… I didn’t always know this… Especially during the periods we were just platonic friends… and for a short-time platonic lovers… What I did know is… our very first intimate encounter was had when he spoke to me… early in our friendship… about his own spiritual beliefs… I was pulled in… literally… His words captured my full attention… and I felt closer to the man who at the time was just my friend… I was pulled in… and I stayed in… now we are in a solid, strong and healthy friendship… life-partnership… and love-relationship we intend to be in forever… While writing this… my mind… my heart… my body… my soul… and my spirit… remain fully in/at peace… The Best Is Yet To Come… BIG SMILE… :0)

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
