BEING WOMAN…

Women’s History Month… Women make history every day… every week… every month… every year… Accordingly, my celebration and honor of women is continuous and throughout… not just throughout a month or the year… throughout my life… I’m a woman… and truthfully, I love being one… more importantly… I love being me— living my very own version of what it means to me to be a woman… It has taken time… years… for me to really understand my role and responsibilities as a woman… So far… this is what I’ve learned… I am not required to define myself… or to fit myself into any particular role… or to accept any responsibilities that do not harmoniously align with my being— my mind… my heart… my soul… me… holistically… Yet, the title… Woman… is one I love… and enjoy wearing… If you were to ask me to describe what it means to be a woman… This is my response… Woman herself… is too broad to define… too BIG to fit into any particular role… too glorious to align with what does not keep her healthy and happy… Perhaps, I am speaking just for myself… however, I pray all women feel this great sense of elevation within themselves too…

When Younger… I still had quite a bit to learn about myself… I observed other women… I learned other women… I looked up to other women, yet no other woman could complete a profile for my own internal and external reflection of me, as woman… I had to travel through my own life… my own inner world… my own outer experiences… to find out what a woman is… not what she should be, but indeed what she could be… Other women, I learned, are able to teach what a woman could be… nonetheless, what I myself could be was for me to explore within me… My personal upbringing was encouragement for me to start this journey early… I am grateful I did… I am grateful for the support I had while discovering what my choices and decisions were creating in my life… I am grateful there were always loving, kind and understanding individuals, including my family, who taught me the importance of personal acceptance and personal responsibility… Both are important for a growing child… and for a growing adult… In truth, as long as we are living… we are growing…

Growing Up… Growing up does not mean slowing up… We as adults are just as capable of creating and sustaining perfect health and happiness… and just as responsible for our spiritual, mental, emotional and physical states… as we teach young people to be… The philosophies and beliefs we embrace become an intricate part of our lives and experiences… The thoughts we think influence our realities… the emotions we feel shape our experiences… and what we do is a reflection of who and what we have decided we are… who and what I’ve decided I am… Who and what you decided you are… I love growing up… Growing up for me has nothing to do with aging— becoming older in theory or in body… For me… growing up simply references the state of my overall being… the state of my thinking… the state of my emotions… the state of my thoughts and emotions as they pertain to my spiritual and physical worlds… including my very own inner and outer universe and material body… This all is vital… Everything we do in life… including garnering individual and collective accomplishments… begin with who we each believe and know we are… and what we each believe and know we are capable of creating…

Everything I Do In Life… The mindset fostered in me… since the early periods of my life… was one that kept me believing and knowing that… what I decided I could and would do… had nothing to do with being a woman or a man… What I decided I could and would do had to do with what I knew about myself as a spiritual human being… I learned many truths about being a spiritual human being… yet, the one truth I would learn about being an individuated, spiritual human being I learned by living my very own life… my way… when I became ready… This is not to say… I have ceased allowing instruction… direction… and guidance from others… Allowing tutelage from others is too part of… my way… What I, plainly, mean is… I have chosen to live one life… the life that belongs to me… I have chosen to think, feel, do and create only what I know will sustain total health… wellness… happiness and prosperity in my life… in my universe… in my world(s)…

Observing and Learning Life… I am deeply grateful to each and every person whose life allowed me observation and learning… The teachers and mentors I observed and learned from… were not just my own amazing parents… my own awesome family members and personal friends… I also observed and learned the life and ways of perfect strangers… I observed many other lives too and learned from them… We each have our own unique and beautiful stories in which we consciously or unconsciously share with others… Stories that give us opportunities to experience what it is to be glorious humans, because of our overall capacities to give and receive one of the greatest gifts of life… life itself— a life that inherently knows unlimited love… a life that is not afraid to keep each and every one of us close to what will always be internally and externally part of our lives— abiding love, unconditionally present… We can never be apart from what is primitive to each of our lives, nevertheless, if our philosophies… our beliefs… our thoughts… our emotions… our doings… cause us to believe… to think… to feel… we are apart from our very own glorious selves… it is our hearts… the primitive energy, the immaculate, the clean, the pure, unadulterated energy of our very own hearts… that will bring us back to where we belong… a life of full health… wellness… happiness… and prosperity—wholesomely…

Women and Our Achievements… Yes, I am a woman… but before I am woman, it is important for me to remember… I am a spiritual human being… One of my greatest achievements in life is not only recognizing this… it too is… giving life to this knowing in everything I do… Doing so… allows me to intentionally and unintentionally give forth reverence for The Most High God… for my own life and for all other spiritual human beings… regardless of the titles we’ve been given or have chosen… and it also causes me to respect the life and lives of Mother Nature… and the other natural creatures of our land… I have been blessed to see beyond the physical matter of the organic world… whether with my physical eyes or my spiritual eye… consequently, I am aware that all of life is spiritual… all of life has life before it is born into material manifestation… All of life is precious… and worthy of reverence… Being mindful of this wisdom… and conscious of the existences and experiences we create in our lives is to be accountable for our lives… May another one of our greatest achievements, individually and collectively, Women, Men and Youth… be to create only that which will add to our greatest, highest and healthiest good… that which too adds to the same for others… I am divine… I am meritorious… I am priceless… I am virtuous… I am good… and so are you… BIG SMILE… 🙂

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
