I see you dream catcher… Catching my dreams too… Holding them for me ‘til I’m ready for them… I’m ready now… I’m present… Not waiting for time… But telling time when it’s time… Time for me… Time for me… Dream catcher you can let my dreams… go now… Let them fly… I’ll fly with them… We’ll fly together… right here… right now… In this magical world… this world I’ve made… This world made for me… A beautiful one… This world… where the whispering wind gently speaks to me… Where the soft sands and water tides and ripples gently caress me… Where the sun… moon… and stars… witness me… Being… gloriously being… me…

Born into a multi-cultural family… I’ve learned the value and beauty of multi-versity… It is simply… the myriad and variable expressions of human-beingness… I witness such rhythm(s)… such movement(s), whether such vibrations are seen or not, at times, in only one person… other times, within the dynamic of multiple people… Either way, we each, those of us who are still in our own unique, intelligent and creative forms, are, indeed, visible… Plainly put, I see you… not as a theoretical image… not as a given name… not as a color label… Should I continue this thought thread… I’ll move in another direction… Isn’t this the brilliance of life… We are always moving… in stillness… in motion… to something or someone… away from something or someone… to and from thoughts… ideas… theories… beliefs… emotions… feelings… words… imaginative portrayals… actions… More importantly, we have the ability to move to and from ourselves… I am not speaking about our actual… physical selves—this is quite a magical experience too… Rather, I am speaking about perceptions of ourselves… Is it so necessary that we be definitive in the pursuit of self-authentication… Who and what are you… How will you answer…  Will it be with words… without words… As for me… I’m just being… in more ways… than one…

Why am I here now… writing this… mostly, because there are numerous conversations about the ‘black experience.’ Much of what I’ve heard and seen… and have been a part of… has been quite intriguing… Truthfully, I’ve been thoroughly lifted by my own endeavors… contributing toward further discovery… A community I was brought up in… for a good portion of my life… was an urban center with a predominantly ‘black’ demographic… As part of the interior of this small society… I got to witness first hand others’ ideas around ‘being black.’ Some of these ideas, turned beliefs, formed the psyche/character of persons and the community at large… If you were mostly on the inside, it was easier to believe what was heard and/or seen… My life has allowed me the ability to healthily exist and co-exist, in and out of all dynamics I’ve been a part of, including those being predominantly ‘black…’ Living this way, opportunities to view the world from different angles, vantage points, heights… are continuously present… I’ve already shared… the importance of movement… whether you are still or in motion… especially… movement to… fresh ideas… theories… beliefs… visual portrayals… etc… and… movement from… those we’ve had the tendency to hold fast to… Maybe one can go for a swing at a nearby park just to get a better understanding of what I’m saying… Can you see more when you go higher…  a greater world… less limitations… perhaps, limitless(ness)… boundless(ness)… I can… and I have… I’ll go higher… any day… especially if doing so moves me to… being… free…

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
