It’s A New Year. My family and I began our new year with a road trip. We love to travel so beginning this new season and year on the road isn’t unfamiliar to us. We’ve been planning for an exciting and amazingly productive life ahead, therefore we brought back home with us a gift that will make our traveling and living experiences simpler and more fun. I’ll share more about this in upcoming posts. At present, my family and I are focused on preparing for our individual and family projects, new adventures and lots more spontaneous moments. We’ve been making plans for the new year, but what makes for a truly spectacular life are spontaneous moments and surprises.

I am fortunate to be part of an adventurous family and communities who too are quite creative. Artistic endeavors inspire and motivate us. Since my childhood, I’ve been influenced by myriad art mediums and modalities, some made and/or performed by my own relatives. My first art teachers were my parents. Both are phenomenal creatives. I am grateful for their guidance and wisdom and for showing me the magic of creative work that uplifts and brightens humanity. I am also grateful there is art work in my living room I made when I was a young child. One framed work of mine is a colorful drawing of abstract lines and shapes. I learned this drawing from my dad’s work and my mom’s instruction. Mom kept this drawing with her for several decades. It makes me smile when my eyes are captured by it.

Adventure has been an integral part of my life. I especially love journeying to fresh places and into beautiful spaces with people I love and who enjoy having fun. Retreats and respite are fun for me too, whether I am alone or with family and/or friends. During my periods of respite creative inspiration seems more fluid. At these times, I feel a vital spark within me urging me to leap into motion and put my creative inspiration into writing and/or form. I am indeed moved by these kinds of experiences and totally welcome them as spontaneous creative adventures of my mind and soul.

My spontaneous adventures along with my world travels and creative explorations are what led me to form my publications, media and affairs planning business, Partners In Goodwill (P.I.G.). Since founding this independent, avant-garde house and artistic branch to my parent organization, Wisdom In New Dimensions (WIND) and to my life and leadership academy, Omniversal Life International (OLI), my original imaginative efforts have grown. The expansion of Partners In Goodwill has allowed me to delve deeper into other areas of interest and has opened up in me greater awareness regarding the gloriousness of life itself.

As I continually come into expanded awareness of myself and life, I trust more the adventures and creative journeys I have chosen and will choose. I also further trust the life adventures and creative journeys introduced to me by family and friends and sometimes perfect strangers. Each of these individuals, family, friend or perfect stranger, are just as much partners in goodwill as the inspiration and imagination birthed by my own mind and heart. I also see my own artistic makings as partners in goodwill, whether a knitted hat, inspirational writing or speech, life and leadership teaching, culinary experience, a cup of tea with company, an extraordinary photographic capture, a dynamic dance performance, a beautiful interior or exterior design or simply my dreams come true. Partners In Goodwill is greater than an independent business endeavor, it’s a sojourn of thoughtful imaginations. It’s what inspiration sounds and looks like as music… as form… as love… as life… BIG SMILE.

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
