I deeply love antiques… I love things vintage… including hand-made relics and also other materials, some for clothing and furniture, that bring us to remember the beauty of times past… and remind us of the potential of the present… I’ve been spending a lot of my time creating… Creativity is what many, if not all, of my business and personal endeavors are inspired by… While creatively, and in large part, spontaneously, developing my business and personal ideas, I at times gather inspiration from the artistic makings of others… The ingenuity that has spurred many of the material creations already existing in our world(s) can leave us speechless at times… Perhaps, it’s because there really is no explanation or language to describe the energy that moves us to imagine and manifest in form what we come to witness… what we come to see in the physical world… the glorious achievements of human beings…

The glorious achievements of human beings… I’ve made the choice to be part of a life that allows me the freedom to express my thoughts, emotions, feelings and corporeal behaviors healthily, creatively, productively and constructively… In doing so, I feel what I am producing, or what I’ve produced, brings forth in myself and in others thoughts, emotions, feelings and corporeal behaviors that too are healthy, creative, productive and constructive… Maybe what I have just written, might seem limiting to others, considering there is a wide spectrum of thoughts, emotions, feelings and behaviors that have existed within the human dynamic… Yet, it is my awareness of such knowledge that has fostered in me a mind and heart that intuitively and simply knows the immeasurable value of harmony… peace… joy… happiness… and prosperity… Therefore, as I continue to focus on my thoughts, my ideas, my emotions, my feelings and behaviors… I will think of them and see them as cooperative and charitable helpmates… as kind and courteous friends… working collaboratively with me to make what will add to the boundless bloom… charm… and grace… already alive in the present…

The present for me is such a blessing… However, I can’t deny the gifts of our yesterdays… I can’t help but look back and discover the brilliance that lived.. and to find all over again the noble gestures… and artistic works… of the artist(s) who allowed themselves to be the vessels in which something special would be born… and that the birth of such a creation would serve us and our senses tremendously with pleasure… I won’t ignore that gentle geniuses walked this earth before me… and before my own parents… and grands… I won’t forget thinking that earlier generations had less and today’s have more… In actuality, neither generation had or has less or more… we just had or have different(ly)… I won’t say, I prefer modernism over traditionalism… or traditionalism over modernism… Ideas, concepts and cultural values of both modern and conventional periods have greatly influenced and benefitted me… Yes, the present for me is such a blessing… so is the past… its stories and its treasures… Our history or histories are or is rich overall…

I was encouraged to write about the old being the new new or the new knew, plainly because I’ve such a great appreciation for so many things old… and too for so many things new… and because some of what is new is what we already knew… Perhaps, the texture of the new… the colors… or the shapes of the new have changed, but the idea(s)… the concept(s)… the template(s)…  that is or are part of the new… is or are also part of the old… I’ve seen this a lot lately with sustainable initiatives… I see it with how we relate to nature… I’m seeing it again in how we are raising our children… how they’re learning the importance of self-love, self-care and unity… the importance of having a thoughtful and caring relationship with our land(s)… and the importance of building friendly and cooperative communities both locally and globally… I’m seeing it more and more, inclusively, in the way(s) which we are choosing to live our lives… The new is what we already knew… What we knew is not new…

It’s quite refreshing to me to find all we need to make our lives deeply meaningful and rich is what we each already have within us… It is also quite magical to explore what is unfamiliar… or seems unfamiliar… in order to unearth for ourselves… and possibly for others… what is truly new… something that had yet to exist, at least in our own minds… and in the minds of those we have come to know whether personally or otherwise… Maybe, we’ll unearth something that had yet to exist at all… I choose to live in both worlds… A world which allows me to make use of what already is… and a world that brings me to discover what has yet to be discovered… I love studying the works of the glorious beings that lived in our earlier days… and the works of those splendid humans that are still with us… I also greatly adore studying my own mind… my own heart… and my own hands… learning them… and letting them teach me what can be… that is not yet here… This is the potential of our present… even when the old is part of it… or whether or not the new is or was first inspired by what we already knew…

I am grateful for my/the past… I am grateful for my/the present… Thank You… BIG SMILE…

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
