Discovering more of me… magically creating my life…

affirmatively and abundantly living…

is more than a glorious adventure…

it is a continuous indescribable spiritual and human journey…

that can only be authentically expressed…

by intuitively being… and organically becoming… ME…

It’s quite amazing how spontaneous conversation with a perfect stranger can bring to the surface of my mind truths that cause me to smile… While in Mystic, CT during a recent summer family road trip, I popped into a quaint boutique in the center of town to more closely observe the artistic works on display… There were artifacts, various colorful trinkets and paintings, etc. from different places across the world inside… including from Spain, a country I’d previously visited… I mentioned to the boutique attendant I’d visited Spain and loved their architecture and mid-day siestas… and I most enjoyed my time in Seville and Barcelona… We then continued to talk about our great love for travel… I shared that I was looking forward to visiting Spain again… and that there are too other countries I intend to spend time in this year… and in the years coming… While on the topic of my travel wish list… our conversation shifted to selfless pursuits…

Usually when the term selfless is spoken about… it is in regards to an act of giving to another… doing for someone other than self… serving another or others… I was taught very early in life the value of such thoughtfulness… kindness and generosity… Nonetheless, I came to better understand the true value of such virtues by way of organic demonstration… What I mean is… I have felt greater joy… immeasurable and long lasting joy… when giving to another is instinctual… is natural… is unconditional… What I’ve experienced both consciously and unconsciously… is for the most part… un-definable by words… What vibrates from within my own being may as well be imperceptible to others, yet is perceptible physically through my body’s language… especially through my smile… My gratitude is in-quantifiable as I witness the liveliness and solace that comes forth from beings who are receivers of selfless, organic demonstrations… The acts of organic… and too in-organic… selflessness… are indeed glorious gifts of the spirit… mind… heart.. and body…

I could have ended the conversation here… albeit the conversation I had with the boutique attendant required no concrete end… last thought… word… or feeling(s)… upon leaving the shop… The conversation did, however, lead me to say this… It too is important that we are selfless with self… Subsequent to speaking these words to the boutique attendant, she responded by sharing… she had not thought to be selfless in this way… Truthfully, I am not aware of anyone who has… Pethaps, I hadn’t thought of selflessness in this way either until this day… until this conversation… I am glad the thought came to me… More importantly, I am happy I had the courage to speak my thought out loud… Maybe the shop attendant needed to hear my words… or maybe I needed to… Since that day… on this particular road trip… during this life adventure… within this self journey… I’ve become even more intentional in the pursuit to give… more of me… more of my gifts… to ME… This wisdom… given as an intangible gift… is what I left the boutique attendant with… an immaterial gift I could leave with… I’ve been keeping this gift with me… this wisdom… daily, it reminds me of the importance of materializing and living my very own dreams… What better way for me to gift others… and to gift myself… than by demonstrating the act of personal courage… than by having the inner fortitude and exterior audacity to live my very own life and dreams…  than by demonstrating that the wishes of my very own affirmative mind and kind, thoughtful and generous heart are meant to come true… BIG SMILE…

Besides traveling… and creating and re-creating mental and written wish lists… I have spent my summer working on media ads for my organization’s global community initiatives and campaigns… One of these campaigns being Unif(eyed) Colors Campaign… A campaign that focuses on the importance of self-love… self-worth… self-image… and self-actualization… and on self sustainability... local/environmental sustainability … and global world sustainability… This endeavor by itself has been rejuvenating and magical… Much of the work done through this campaign has been based on my own perspectives of self… of others… and of the world… It is quite a magnificent life journey when our thoughts about ourselves… others… and the world… are consistently affirmative… healthy and positive in nature… It is another special way we give to self… and to others… BIGGER SMILE…
