I love a style of fashion that speaks poetry to me… Maybe the chosen ensemble rhymes (matches), or maybe random notes are set together without any particular song or end in mind, yet beautiful music is still made… Style is lyrical… It’s rhythm… It’s movement… Even if style starts as a blank page, canvas or screen, there’s something quite magical about it… It speaks as silence… Think about it… Imagine an ensemble that is all white… or all black… or some other color, but just that color… It’s not really audible… It’s not speaking out loud to us; nonetheless, it has depth to it… It pulls us in, for it is dynamic in its own way… It says to us, I am alive… I am real… I am here… I am seen… Then the mind is enticed by the theories of tone (mood) and creativity (imagination)… The mind wants to test these theories… Apply them and make them applicable… To whom? Do we tell time to whom? Or does time eventually tell us? I believe it is both… It depends for me on who or what is in mind, if anyone or anything at all, when I am putting lyrics, words, clothing or things together… Either way, it remains for me…poetry…

Poetry encourages my imagination to play… So I do… I begin to add more elements… colors, patterns, textures, maybe letters or words, other accessories, etc… Perhaps what I’ve put together will make sense to me and to others… Perhaps to me, but not to others… Perhaps what I’ve put together will not make sense to me, but will to others… Perhaps what I’ve put together will not make sense to me or to others… But somehow we live the style anyway… Suddenly, it just makes sense on its own, period… Who wears polka dots, stripes and checkers together… You might say, “It depends…” I’ll answer, ‘someone will.’ Make it look fashionable or un-fashionable, it is still a style… I’ve seen it time and time, again… “Who would dare wear that?” Someone did… And suddenly, it just made sense, period… What am I really conveying here? This… Style is what we, ourselves, make it… Try to define style, if you will, however, style defies any true definition we might try to give it… Style is what it is… It just is, period… What is the definition of poetry? Hands are raised, figuratively speaking… Yes! Yes! And yes! You all are correct…

And so poetry is… Where shall I begin… Within my own imagination… I am smooth like butter… Light in mind and heart so I can fly…  You can just call me, Butter(Fly)… My thoughts, ideas, visions and dreams ascend into the sky… When they land again, they show up in the world answering your… who, what, when, how and why… The rhythm of my steps is a harmonious flow… Let’s dance together and make it a magic show… One… Two… Three.. Four… What’s behind her closet’s door… Style I’ll say… Fashion, so true… Hand over the black, hmmm… Let’s make it the red shoe… Check out the hat with the rhinestone heart… Love too is indeed a work of art… Keep the music going ‘cause there’s more… This journey ain’t over on my imagination’s tour… I’ve got additional tones to share, maybe we’ll compare… Notes that is… and grow this biz… The business of giving… vibrancy to life… Life is ‘bout living… High… That’s why I fly… Fly, fly, like a Butter(Fly)…
