Autumn Is In The Air… The Fall of 2025 had us road trippin’ again. My older brother and I traveled south this time to enjoy the new season’s scenery and to re-visit places we’ve enjoyed. During our travels I did as I always do, make stops on the road just to capture the imagery appearing in the distance and in wooded flat lands and hilly and mountainous landscapes. And I made stops to simply welcome the new rhythms of Nature. The silhouetted horizons ahead of us, the painted skies above and vibrant hues of the leafy trees around us were quite inspiring. Of course, there were natural forms/formations and man-made architectural creations along our way I didn’t miss. Some I photographed while others I plainly honored with a smile and with gratefulness.

Our serendipitous road trip as well gave us time to enjoy the harvest of Summer still reflected in Autumn”s multi-hued canvasses. There were still the dances of bright wild and hybrid flowers, the continuous flow of low land waters and vertical and horizontal waterfalls, the various shades of greens that linger through the seasons and what else Summer graced us with. The days as well offered a calmness, including on Autumn’s rainy days, that invited us to explore and play outdoors. The harvest of play was our greatest gift during the new days of this new season.

Our Autumn travels as well offered my brother and me occasions to relax. To take our time while on the road and to more slowly move toward both planned and unplanned destinations. This was especially true while in familiar environments and when in the presence of those places that are immeasurably special. Slowing down in the season of Autumn aligned us more deeply with the treasures of life surrounding us. The gentler voices of Autumn as well spoke to us as we witnessed the miraculous and boundless wonders of the Natural World. The places we were in allowed us the gifts of Summer’s harvest… and Autumn’s slower pace to relax… and to rest…
