My family and I spent much of last year 2024 and part of this year 2025 on the road. The choice to do so was inspired by our love for travel, adventure, leisure, history and, of course, the Natural World. While on the road my global community endeavor, Build Upwards Inspire Lives Divinely (BUILD), led me to further witness the spirit, beauty and intelligence of Nature, the intriguing environments of historic geography and structures and the invaluable extraordinariness of preserving culture and tradition, even among the brilliance of thoughtful innovation.

I have found a tremendous amount of wisdom and enjoyment on my journey of experiential study and learning and in additional ancestral and history research. As I recall vintage experiences and partake in the unearthing of insightful information, I become truly grateful for what has been, still is and will be. In the years past and recent that I’ve increased my knowing of my own family history and the paths we’ve individually and together have traveled and explored my internal and external life blossoms and blooms.

What has deeply captivated me as it relates to my ancestral history is the holistic ways in which my relatives and those close to them lived. Their reverence for and unity with the (S)spiritual, their intuitive approach to living, their courage to be themselves and their appreciation for independence and community with humanity and all else made them quite phenomenal. Albeit, I celebrate my own independence and individuality and live and explore, what perhaps solely interests me, I continue to reach to my ancestors and present relatives and those close to them and to me for community. Through my independence and through community I live more.

Our community as well includes this earth and the creatures of the lands who, as Natives would say, “are our relatives too.” With this consciousness, I have learned to treat the earth and all the living as though they are human beings. I haven’t always been perfect at doing so, yet my intentions have been and are still sincere. When I go for walks or simply find a serene or melodious place to stand, sit or rest outdoors, I at times find myself in conversation with the flowers and trees and sometimes the birds, butterflies and bees… cats and dogs, cows and horses, squirrels and beavers, deer and…(smile)… To be in communication with the world around me greatly increases my presence and my joy.

Nature’s boundless botanic gardens… vast green and glass houses… Organic earth has been our pristine, delightful and heavenly home too.. The forests, wooded plains, prairies, open fields, grasslands, mountains, valleys, hills, sands, oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds, streams and brooks and skies and more… The land allowed us its comforts and its resources… It nourished us and has been generous with us. The people who lived with the land lived with it as a friend. This knowing is what I learned from my ancestors… my relatives and our close friends. This knowing is what keeps me awe-inspired when I am in Nature, surrounded by its presence, its brilliance and its gifts. If I speak to Nature, if I speak to the grass, flowers and trees… if I speak to the winged ones, including the birds, lightning bugs, butterflies and bees, if I speak to the others who fly, walk and/or crawl… I speak to them… for they… are my relative(s)… my friend(s) too… a treasure of abundant blessings… an immaculate presence… a creative gallery of God’s and man’s designs and art… ancient and new… continuous and regenerative Life… a community… a neighbor with that of yesterday’s and today’s time… See them and listen to them… They remind us of who they are… they remind us of who we are… of our own splendor and humanity… BIG SMILE…

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
