Nature’s seasons, including summer continually blesses us with her treasures. Spring, the season I celebrated my birthday, brought us a colorful palette of fresh vistas. Summer added to these landscapes more brightness and beauty. This summer I have been spending as much time as I can outdoors. Being outdoors has opened me to taking in more of the marvelous sights around me. Some of them close to home.

Most of you who read my writings are aware I love road trippin’ with family and friends. Over the last several years my family and I have enjoyed more time on the road, visiting new spaces and places and some of our favorite existing ones. During our summers we’ve spent additional days on the road away from our residence in Connecticut, yet this summer Connecticut kept us enjoying being on the road here.

While on the road, sometimes by foot, I make sure to have at least one camera with me. The wondrous landscapes in walking distance appear like new at times, so I capture them as though I’ve not seen them before. There are as well the ones I’ve driven by on several occasions, yet decided to simply enjoy as I pass by. Once in a while, I am inspired to pull my car over to witness further what my eyes take in first, then what my camera can capture as a long lasting memory.

In this writing, I share with you the miraculous greenscapes of Nature’s summer I’ve captured close to home and while away from Connecticut, but still close to home. Albeit, my travels bring me farther than New England, these vibrant visuals give us all a deeper look into the gloriousness and vitality of summer in the North.

May life continue to bless you too with the treasures of Nature’’s seasons each day, whether through your own windows and doors, whether by taking a short or long walk, whether by roads near and far or in places and spaces new and existing. The season of summer. BIG SMILE.

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
