I took a couple of days to reflect on President Barack H. Obama’s State of The Union 2015 speech… I was truly inspired by his words, which reflected our collective growth and progress… Many all across the world were too inspired and uplifted… During the speech we learned about concrete examples of great accomplishments and achievements, and we learned about where there is still room for growth in ourselves individually and in our world…a world that we collectively are striving to move forward…

I know the good works of our President will get done… We the people will continue to support his efforts, mostly because we are grateful for all that has already been done and because we are feeling optimistic about our future… Since before 2008 we have, with our President and First Family, allowed HOPE to carry us into new realities… Let’s keep taking steps into greater and greater realities… Let’s make choices for ourselves and for others that show the strength and endurance of our faith and love… YES WE CAN… YES WE HAVE… YES WE WILL… NOT EVEN THE SKY IS OUR LIMIT…

Our President has served one full term and will complete his second term… He was elected for a second term so that he could indeed finish the GOOD WORKS he began during the early part of his Presidency… We the people of the UNITED STATES are proud of President Barack H. Obama for his commitment and loyalty to us, the people… and we the people of the world, all people, have been renewed because he has chosen to serve as not only the President of the United States but as the People’s President… The people being every living being on planet earth… All of our well-being is important to our President. This sentiment was shared by him and will invariably be expressed through his actions as he moves forward…

Our President exemplifies for us his strong and unwavering courage and confidence within the role and capacity of President of the United States… His self-endorsement, during which he showed how proud he was of the people who believed in him and in his vision, gave us reason to believe America trusted him to serve a second term… His self-endorsement was not a slight toward Republicans, members of the GOP Congress, White House Representatives or any government officials… His self-endorsement was simply to remind us that in spite of what seemed like a difficult mountain to climb, he didn’t give up… He made the choice to climb the mountain anyway… And when he made it to the top, he didn’t say, “I did it!” He said, “We did it!”  He wanted us to know that, each and every one of us, even those who weren’t sure that he could do it again a second time, helped him to trust himself more… to believe in himself more… to discover a greater sense of himself…. to make stronger his own personal will and character… Even those who weren’t sure that he could do it again, motivated our President to take the next step… then the next… regardless of whether or not he knew what was in front of him… His self-endorsement also expressed his gratitude… He was saying to us, “Thank you, all of you, for encouraging me to learn my own abilities… to learn my own inner and outer strength, potential and worth as a spiritual human-being… Our President’s words of self-endorsement reflected a greater self-love… I personally, Dana Rondel Olmsted, thank President Barack H. Obama for having the courage and confidence to be…MORE OF YOURSELF…

Our President also shared with us that this work, we are doing together, is not about political campaigning and gaining… It’s about making our lives better and making a BIGGER difference, by demonstrating through cooperative and collaborative efforts our own humanity… We, individually and collectively, have an opportunity to bring our very best selves into every experience we have… We have an opportunity to reflect for all the world what it really means to love and treat our neighbors, near and far, as we would want to be loved and treated… Our President asked us to want for others, regardless of who they are or what part of the world they live in, what we would want for our own loved ones, families and friends… If there is anything we believe we must wage, let us wage campaigns and initiatives that allow us to further practice empathy, kindness and generosity toward others… Let’s once again give life to what our original founding ancestors ascribed to and affirmed: We all are children of the same Almighty God, and therefore, are naturally endowed with what no other man can give us: Freedom, Happiness and Prosperity… These innate qualities of self, being and life, we create ourselves, each and every one of us, with our own personal wills… All the good that we could ever want for ourselves and for another, we must first begin to manifest within our own minds and hearts…The follow through is our good works done in faith and love…

Whether or not you’ve yet been able to physically see it, we have ushered in a new way of being… It isn’t our titles, status, positions, roles, affiliations or possessions, etc. that cause us to be privy to a greater life or that will grant us freedom, happiness and prosperity… What allows for a greater life is our willingness to embrace this truth: We, Individually and Collectively, Are and Have Always Been Free, Alive and Unlimited Beings… No Other Person But Ourselves Is Responsible For Our Well-Being, and Yet We Have The Opportunity and Choice To Witness and Participate In The Experience of Love and Respect For Ourselves and For All of Life… I have seen love and respect for oneself and for others mirrored in myriad reflections… The simplest way love and respect is reflected is through our daily practices…What we consistently do, realizing that our deeds can garner results that will bring us pleasure or displeasure… How we think, realizing our thoughts are the seeds in which our realities are brought to life… How we feel, realizing that emotional energy can bring us closer together or farther apart…How we speak, realizing the potential and synergistic affect of our words… What we do, how we think, how we feel and how we speak show our regard for not only our own extraordinary lives, but show our deepest respect for the magnificence of all life: the spirits, minds and hearts of our fellow human beings, the breath, intelligence and health of our body-temples, the resilience, sustainability and sustenance of our natural environment, the inventiveness, beauty and worth of our personal property and the property of others, irregardless of their cost, and the uniqueness, quality and music of each of our experiences and truths, and more…

Individually and collectively, we have done well… We, together, have shown that we are willing and able to do what is required of us to move humanity forward…  We have shown that we are willing and capable of letting go of who and what does not serve our best interests and intentions, and that we have the courage and strength to hold on to and stand up for the invaluable assets in our lives, including our fellow human-beings… especially those who remind us of our own spiritual and human greatness and potential. President Barack H. Obama, is one of many human-beings who graces life with his presence, love, fortitude, kindness and generosity… He has shown us over and over again that all good things are possible… Whether alone or together, let us continue to show through all that we do that, indeed, all good things are possible… Let us continue to Rise & Reach … Life is Good…

Before I end, I would like to share the following…

How simple or difficult an experience is or task becomes, more than anything else, is so because of our own individual and collective beliefs, the school(s) of thought and philosophies we have chosen to ascribe to, and because of our daily spiritual-life practices… How we choose to build our lives and who we choose to build our lives with matter, significantly… May we all choose wisely…

The following strategy demonstrates cooperative and collaborative efforts between government officials, the American People and our world neighbors, near and far…

Republican Thought:

Provide increased incentives to individuals, families and businesses at the higher end of the income continuum to show our gratitude for their decisions to put money back into our communities, to create new jobs, to sustain existing jobs and to foster further opportunities and relationships, nationally and internationally…

Democratic Thought:

Create more incentives and opportunities for individuals and families to start and/or grow businesses… Make available additional funding and educational resources to influence a prosperity mindset, to influence the growth,  development and sustainability of more healthy communities, to decrease financial dependence, to increase financial freedom, to clear long-term debt and to add greater value to the world economy…

Cooperative and Collaborative Efforts:

All parties will work together to attain their goals, not by taking anything away from the American people, such as decreasing incentives, and/or by neglecting segments of our world population. All parties will work together to attain their goals by increasing incentives for all people… All parties will work together to create new opportunities and to further utilize existing opportunities that have supported financial growth, health and wealth for all individuals, families and businesses… All parties will work together to encourage philanthropic endeavors, especially those that support individual educational and career related goals, that support family health and wealth, that support community developments and fiscal projects, and that support small and large business developments and the expansion of financial portfolios… All parties will work together to support personal and professional best practices that make room for self-care, experiential study and research, innovative ideas and free and inventive thinking… All parties will work together to make available educational experiences and resources that include input from individuals, communities and businesses that have implemented best practices and have garnered long-term health, sustainability and success…

Those who are successful in continually creating opportunities for financial gain and freedom are individuals and businesses that greatly utilize philanthropic endeavors to foster economic growth and well-being… It is not the “managing” of taxes that depict the health and wealth of our economies, it is the willingness of the American People and of our global friends to work together cooperatively, to create opportunities that support our individual and collective ideas, dreams and goals. For centuries, it has been mostly philanthropic endeavors that have determined and that have sustained the wellness and financial vibrancy of our local communities, societies and world… It is time that we allow wisdom to lead us again…

There are no large steps or major shifts required to experience prosperity, continual monetary gain, financial sustainability and freedom… All that is needed is our willingness to be open and receptive to a new way of being, first and foremost, with ourselves, and with one another… It is our audacity to hope, and our belief in our own and each others’ dreams, that allow us to truly experience the rich culture, beauty and abundance of our individual lives, local communities and growing societies, and to experience the health and well-being of our world… I believe in our ability to effortlessly live together, work together, create together, build together and thrive together… You all do too.. Let go of what has not served our individual and collective greater purpose and hold on to the wisdom, values and principles that have… What you’ll discover is that by making a better place for others you end up making a better place for yourself… When you have made a better place for yourself you undoubtedly have made a better place for others… In reality, these experiences are one in the same… Rise & Reach… Life is Good…

Yesterday gave us an opportunity to learn what we needed to know… Today, we have the opportunity to live what we now know, peacefully, lovingly, respectfully and successfully…
