Every season gives me reason to spend time at a beach. Whether the days are warm or cool I have enjoyed time on the sand near the ocean. Even on the cooler days I can feel the warmth of the sands underneath. The warmth is welcoming and the ocean calming while the view in its fullness is relaxing. The cooler breezes awakens and the warmer softens the earth, other elements, forms and formations around me. I love the stillness and movements of life this place, a beach, freely gives.

I have grown to love architecture, organic earth design, green landscape design, interior design and sustainable structural design. Through architecture, the natural flow of life and the creative flow of inspiration, ideas and imagination dance together to bring further life into existence. Motion… movement… emptiness… form(s).. formation(s)… Maybe this is where I begin to build.

While in natural environments, I deeply enjoy observing Nature. Artistic creations placed and formed by the earth and elements are rare gifts. When captured by the life of these organic treasures, I am usually inspired to photograph them or they lead me to create my own works of art. My photographic collection of natural artistic finds and of my own makings in nature continually increases and evolves. When I review the visual images I have within my personal portfolio my spirit is elevated.

The building rocks of life… Pebbles… stones… rocks… boulders… They are almost everywhere. These firm forms and formations have my attention it seems just as much as fresh flowers in bloom. Pebbles, stones, rocks and boulders are in every size and shape. Some have different designs and patterns and are in many colors and shades. When walking in the woods and at the beach, I like to gather in my hands and/or arms small and medium sized pebbles, stones and rocks I can carry and bring them to a place I can build with them.

There are pebbles, stones and rocks in a pile near me now. I begin to place one on top of the other. Harmony and balance begin the foundation, silencing my mind as I trust my heart and steady my hands. Each solid form, in a different size, shape and color, elevate another until the last one is placed. The rising rocks reach toward the sky, decorating the surrounding scenery, making for me works of art that delight me. Solid form(s)… Elevated formation(s)… or plainly… building rocks in/of life. The present of each is… presence… BIG. SMILE…

We have the capacity and potential to always be a blessing in our own lives, in the lives of others and in this magical and magnificent world of ours…
